Pilgrimage Life

Much of the artist’s life was spent on the dusty roads of India, Tibet, Pamir, and the Hindu Kush, on pilgrimage through the inner sanctums of Ladakh, Bhutan, Mustang, Sikkim and Kashmir, and above the serpentine passages leading to Buddhist monks in the light and shadow of the Himalayan Monasteries. These experiences are responsible for the mystique of his works.
